ABOUT

Welcome to Belview Missionary Baptist Church, a place where we strive to fulfill our mission of developing and training leaders through serving, loving, evangelizing, and making disciples for the kingdom of God. Inspired by the words of Habakkuk 2:2-3, we believe in writing our vision plain upon the tables, so that those who read it may run towards its fulfillment.

1890 - 1911

In 1890, a small group of dedicated Baptists in the Needmore area established a humble bush harbor church, built with wild grass and cornstalks on land donated by the Cruikshank family. Despite financial challenges, their faith prevailed, and the community came together to create a place of worship. A devastating storm in 1911 destroyed the original church, but the resilient congregation rebuilt, renaming it Belview Baptist Church

1911 - 1993

Under the leadership of pastors like Rev. Clark Beverly and Rev. A.C. Smith, the church grew and incorporated new members and ministries, becoming a cornerstone of faith in the community. During this period, Belview expanded its reach and influence, adding numerous souls to its congregation and establishing a solid foundation for future growth.

1993 - Present

In 1993, Rev. Timothy E. Caldwell joined as pastor, ushering in a new era of growth. With his leadership, Belview expanded its facilities and ministries, including youth, women’s, and men’s ministries, and a new sanctuary. Today, Belview continues to thrive, dedicated to its mission of "Changing Lives to Change Lives."
